MOGADISHU – At least three people have been killed and several others injured in deadly clash in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
The skirmish flared up when government soldiers exchanged gunfire in the city’s Tarbunka area over land dispute ownership, leaving 3 soldiers dead.
A witness, who asked to be anonymous, said, civilian victims, had been taken into hospitals in the capital, adding that some of them were seriously bleeding.
The tension has subsided, shortly after other government soldiers reportedly intervened both warning sides, he said.
The Somali government officials were unavailable to reach on the phone for comments on the skirmishes.
This is not the first time that government soldiers disagree and exchange deadly gunfire in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
